Sofia Marques Ferreira was born in Lisbon. She received a scholarship from University of Westminster, Faculty of Media, Arts and Design in London. Her practice focuses transmedia approach and includes film, sound and installation, where she investigates the body dramaturgy as a space of resistance. She lived and worked in several cities, such as New York, London, Brazil and Berlin. She collaborated with the Berlin collective Blaenk Minds and is a researcher at Center for Cultural Studies, Performance and Audiovisual, University of Lisbon.
