Liviu Groza is a DJ and producer based in Switzerland. He began his musical journey as a teenager, playing guitar in rock and funk bands before discovering minimal techno through Zurich’s electronic music scene, particularly at Dachkantine, the legendary club that left such a strong impression on him that it became the place where he officially launched his career as an artist. There, he refined his skills as both a DJ and live performer in front of hundreds of house and techno enthusiasts, while also becoming a dedicated vinyl collector.
His move to Berlin marked a major turning point. Inspired by the city’s creative energy, he took his career to the next level, leading to releases on respected labels such as Double R, Rue de Plaisance, Minimood, Rekids, Fantastic Friends, and Clock’Art Records. He has performed at some of Berlin’s most iconic clubs, including Bar25, Club der Visionäre, Hoppetosse, and Katerblau, as well as internationally at venues such as Gazgolder in Moscow and The Block in Tel Aviv.
As a performer, Liviu clearly distinguishes between his two artistic approaches. In his DJ sets, he crafts a cohesive musical narrative blending minimal techno and house. In his live performances, he improvises with his hardware, creating a unique experience every time.
With over twenty years of experience, he is currently developing new live projects in collaboration with other musicians, while continuing to tour and release new music.
